Hello, I'm Alice, the creator behind Type by Alice. My aim is to create beautiful, high quality hand lettered artwork that inspires and encourages others.
I started hand lettering just over 5 years ago as a hobby. I had always loved art and would call myself 'creative', but hadn't quite found my niche. Until one day, I was looking to buy a print of a bible verse, and couldn't find one I liked. I thought 'I can do this!', and that's where it all began! Over the years, it has grown into a business selling creative gifts and prints, bespoke pieces, wedding stationary, design work and greetings cards, and I couldn’t be happier!
For me personally, good design and the overall aesthetic of artwork are important, and I aim to create pieces I can be proud of, but also the people who choose to buy my lettering can be proud to have in their homes or gift others with. So I hope you enjoy my work!
