Hello, I’m Amy

I started Rock Paper Swan out of needing cards for the gaps: not just the big events and birthdays, but the hard bits and awkward times and in-between stuff too. Sometimes we just don’t know what to say – and there’s no magic card for that – but it’s always great to tell someone you love them, you’re praying for them, or you’re thinking of them. Some of my happiest parts of this job are hearing the stories of people buying one of my cards or prints to encourage and affirm someone else.

Or you could sum it up like this: “Speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope, so that you’ll all be together in this – no one left out, no one left behind.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12, The Message translation)

I started off by making hand-lettered cards in 2018, and since then it’s spilled over into prints, gifts, and decorations. Inspired by nature, my favourite colours, and hope-filled words and phrases, everything I design is intended to make your day a little brighter (visually and emotionally)!
