God speaks about our hearts so many times in scripture. He searches our hearts, He knows our hearts, He gives us the desires of our hearts, He heals the broken hearted. These are only a handful of the wonderful verses that God mentions about our hearts.
I have designed this gorgeous art print, that depicts 25 different hearts and everyone is encircled with a beautiful verse about our hearts. The bold, bright colours make this ideal for a children’s room, but the scriptures are for young and old alike and if you like colour, you will love this.
The only heart that has no pattern and colour is the one in the very centre of them all. Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. The heart is the centre of who you are. This means that with all of your being, you should be pure. But being pure does not mean being flawless. A good translation of the word pure would be “single” or “focused.” So to be pure in heart means to have a single-minded devotion to Jesus. We often imagine pure to be white, hence the lack of colour.
