Like advent candles on the run up to Christmas, these lent candles are numbered for the run up to Easter. These were designed with the idea that they can be physical reminder each day to spend time in prayer.
They have a burn time of around 8 hours each, so each day will burn for around 20 minutes. Imagine beginning on Ash Wednesday and getting to Easter Sunday having spent 16 hours in prayer. Time well spent, don’t you think?
If you need somewhere to write down your prayers (I know I do, I am too easily distracted if I don’t write my prayers down and my mind wanders too much!) I have a lent prayer set which includes the candles, a 48 page notebook to write down your prayers and an A5 print of psalm 119:114. You can find it here.
