'I AM your Abba and you are my Joy' - A fine art print of my original painting
During the creating of this artwork the phrase, ‘I AM your Abba and you are my joy’ bubbled up within me…and I believe it was Holy Spirits gentle response to the questions He knew my heart was asking : questions of worth: “Am I seen by you God?..do you hear my heart? Am I good enough? Do I matter?...”
And so, as I reflect on this painting, I sense a loving Holy Spirit whisper that we are very precious to God. The Bible tells us that God knows everything about us, even down to the number of hairs on our heads and that we are worth more than a whole flock of sparrows! [Matt 10:29-31]
Galatians 6:5-7 tells us that God sent Jesus to buy freedom for us, so that He could adopt us as His very own children, and then, ‘so that we would know that we are his true children, God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, ‘Abba Father! My true Father!’
Isaiah 44:21 says, ’I, the Lord, made you, and I will not forget you.’ And the big white cross in the centre of the piece is a clear reminder of the greatest Love gift ever given-1John 4:9-10, ‘This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son Jesus as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.’ Gods love is not just about sentimentality or passion, His Love is perfectly pure and true and His heart and intentions, whilst maybe not always making sense, are nevertheless, always good and can always be trusted.
Who we are has everything to do with who He is and what He has done for us. And our acceptance of and trust in His lovingkindness brings much joy to the heart of God. [Psalm 147:11]
This print would make a beautiful encouragement gift and a wonderful addition to any home.
