Hannah Hunter-Kelm
I make screenprints, linocuts, collages and illustrations which are inspired by my faith in Jesus.
I started printmaking back in 2012 when I had it in mind to make a typography linocut based on a passage from 1 Corinthians. I enjoyed it so much that a year and a half later I decided to quit my job and go to art school. While I was there I focussed largely on illustration and printmaking. These days I split my time between looking after my kids (and freelancing when they nap!) and being a printmaking instructor at the same University I trained at.
I like to keep my illustrative work light, and really enjoy making humorous cards (some of which you may see here). My prints have more of a typographical aspect to them, and I particularly enjoy working with linocut and screen print processes. More recently I have been delving into the world of collage, using offcuts from old prints.
