‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength’ Deuteronomy 6:4–5. Known as the Shema, meaning 'hear’ in Hebrew.

The devotion of our hearts is determined by where we find value as our greatest treasure. ‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.’ In order for our hearts to love Jesus completely, we have to first treasure Him. This begins by us making godly choices in all that we do. To spend time in God’s Word, to pray, meditate, obey and honour God in all things. In turn, we allow the word of God to transform so that we love Him with all our understanding. During times of struggle and trials we will see that God is faithful. Over time, we witness God’s compassion, mercy, grace, and love for us. Let this canvas be a reminder for us to love Him above all else, and to be consumed with the things of God, to know and love Him above all things. May He be the centre of all we do.
