Leah Blacher

Hey,

My name is Leah and I create paintings and illustrations from my rural home in Cornwall. Painting the things I love and taking inspiration from my children, faith, nature, meaningful conversations, childhood nostalgia, small and simple everyday moments, and warm earthy tones: my desire is to express what I learn and share what brings me joy and peace in the hope that it encourages and uplifts others

I’ve always had a love for sketching and painting, spending many hours as a young girl sat at the kitchen table creating pictures that would find themselves stuck onto the cupboard doors! It’s something that has always calmed and relaxed me, which explains my desire to return to it in 2017 when I had two very young children to take care of. Drawing and painting became a way for me to unwind and ‘find myself’ again amidst the overwhelming demand I felt.

In early 2018 my beloved Dad passed away very unexpectedly and I found my faith restored and strengthened. I felt God leading me to create more designs of hope and encouragement, growing my greetings card and fine art prints collection, and continuing on a journey to learn and discover more about my enjoyment of illustration.
