I love this verse and thought it would be great to have a painting to remind me, for when I get tired or downhearted, that God has the strength to lift me up. This painting started out as one of a full eagle’s body and wings. Those wings are enormous and carry the bird high into the air. I soon realised that I wanted to ‘home in’ on just the pinions of the wings - the part that felt to be where the real strength was. As I worked on the whole eagle painting, it became obvious I had to crop the image to emphasise this power and strength. I was glad I did. I hope it speaks to people about God’s unending encouragement and capacity to ‘lift’ us.
