This listing is for a spontaneous poem, composed just for you on my Underwood 315 typewriter from a prompt word or sentence from you (the more specific the better). It could be based on your favourite Bible verse or a christian theme.
The poem is written in a free flow format, there are no revisions or corrections, it will come out as it is formed, in my mind and through the keys of the typewriter.
At the beginning of 2020, I started writing one gratitude poem a day to get me through lockdown and to help my well-being through the tail end of winter. These poems have been brought together in a book called 'Voice at the Window' (available in the shop as a separate listing).
Through this process, I have realised that there are poems inside me waiting to come into being every day, if I would only give them room and time. It struck me that I could share my poems with you all in a new way: spontaneous personal poems, freshly formed, for you.
Send me a starting point: a word or a phrase and I will compose a poem for you or a loved one on my trusty Underwood. You can add this in the notes section of the order.
In this hard time of separation, why not send one to a friend that you would love to hug but can't? Why not send one to your beloved to remind them of why you love them? Or why not send one to a girl friend who you really miss right now? Or to your Mum for Mother's Day?
The poem will be sent out on a plain piece of white card along with a explanatory note of the process and a 'flourish' postcard. The poem is placed against a piece of textured botanical paper and bound with a paper band. Postage is included in the price and the item can be sent out 2nd class to any address if your choice in the world!
** There will be no revisions made to the poems, they will be sent as they are formed. But my guarantee is that I will only send out a poem that I am completely happy with. Copyright of each poem remains with the writer.
