Description
'It Is Well' is a signed giclee print of an original textile embroidery.
The original textile collage was inspired by the words from the old Horatio G. Spafford hymn 'It Is Well With My Soul'. Beautiful linens and pieces of lace doilies were used to build up a tactile, layered surface, before being hand printed and freehand machine embroidered with the words from the bible verse. The piece was then overlaid with appliqued fabrics and embellished with hand embroidery.
Many hours of work went into creating the original hand stitched piece and this professional, archival print has picked out the textures of the lace and details on the hand stitching beautifully.
It is printed on to textured fine art paper using archival inks which will make your artwork last a lifetime. The image measures approximately 8×5.5” with a 1.5’' white border. This artwork is unmounted, but will fit into a standard A4 frame.
The print will be packaged in a cellophane bag with a firm backing board for support and shipped in protective packaging.
