“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee.”
They were puzzled, wondering what to make of this. Then, out of nowhere it seemed, two men, light cascading over them, stood there. The women were awestruck and bowed down in worship. The men said, “Why are you looking for the Living One in a cemetery? He is not here, but raised up. Remember how he told you when you were still back in Galilee that he had to be handed over to sinners, be killed on a cross, and in three days rise up?” Then they remembered Jesus’ words.
They had forgotten that Jesus had talked of His death and resurrection while they were still in Galilee. They did not remember that He was to be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, nor had they understood His meaning when He said: destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. But their night of weeping turned in a morning of great joy. The bitter trial they underwent was momentary but the recompense they received was eternal life - as it is for all who trust in His sacrificial work and glorious resurrection.
Blank inside, so the card can be used for any occasion, although it would make a lovely Easter card.
