Give Me Oil In My Lamp Art Print
by Doodle Art by Sarah Clottey
Description
Over a year in the making, this design has been a labour of love and part of my own personal journey. Based on the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew’s gospel, and using the lyric from a well-known song, ‘Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning’ is a plea from the heart and a reminder that it’s important to maintain intimacy with Jesus so that we are ready for his return.
The print features a golden jug pouring out golden oil into a clay oil lamp, which is lit with a flame. The words ‘Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning’ are written in brush script font at the bottom centre of the design.
The artistic style of this print is a blend of realistic oil painted effect and my contemporary, unique doodles. The layer of doodles include various images, words and scripture references that I believe have relevance to ‘keep me burning’ and the meaning of oil in this passage.
- Available in A4 and A3 sizes.
- Printed on pro lustre photographic paper, which is semi-gloss, bringing out the luminosity of the colours.
- Frame not included
- Dispatched Royal Mail 1st class in a hard backed rigid envelope for protection.
Disclaimer: Every effort has been made to photograph the print as accurately as possible, however, colours may vary slightly to the images shown.
