The words on this piece are lifted from Psalm 32:7 NIV
'You are my hiding-place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.'
Stirring words that speak to me of refuge, covering and freedom.
Within this image I see a bright white Light in the shape of a cross smashing inand pushing back the darkness. There are bits of randomly torn map and manuscript from the old hymns, 'My Anchor holds' and 'What a friend we have in Jesus' with more strips of song-music encircling the lighted Cross which, I feel, represent the freedom songs I can now sing as someone who’s life has been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. Colossians 3 tells me that my life is ‘now hidden with Christ in God’ meaning my old life has been crucified and I have been raised with Jesus into a new empowered life of living hope, blessed assurance and secure refuge. 3 golden cross-stitched 'kisses' creatively represent the powerful union of love within The Trinity: The perfect Covenant love of God, the perfect saving grace of Jesus Christ and perfect fellowship of the Holy Spirit. And then there’s a golden stitched line along the bottom symbolising the completeness and utter finished-ness of the deliverance accomplished at the Cross!
This print would make a beautiful encouragement gift and a wonderful addition to any home.
