Thanks so much for visiting and viewing my work!

Some thoughts on this piece:

Is your heart weary?..feeling anxious & over-burdened?  Are you thirsty?..searching for peace & rest?  Come to Me.

I think this piece merges together several verses that have have been bringing me life in this challenging season we have all been walking through:

In Revelation 22 there is wonderful imagery of another tree in its setting, the ‘tree of life’, who’s incredible leaves ‘are for the healing of the nations’!

Matt 11:28-30 where Jesus calls to himself the weary worn out ones.

Isaiah 55 where there’s a call to all who are thirsty, not so much for a physical drink but for spiritual nourishment.

John 10:10 and the picture of Jesus coming to give life in all its fullness.

Psalm 84 and the description of longing for the dwelling place of Gods presence and the picture of the birds finding and making their home there.

And Psalm 1 where theres a tree with a deep roots planted by a stream.

All of these verses and images have brought me encouragement as Im reminded again that Jesus alone is the ONLY One who can give me the rest that my leaking soul so very much needs, especially in times of anxiety & challenge like these.

And so, as a declaration from my soul, I picture myself as one of those little birdies needing to lean and nestle in to the ever-welcoming, sheltering, nourishing branches of the tree of life who is Jesus, my Lord and my God.

I pray this brings encouragement.
