Mother's Day Gift Idea: Spa Gift Basket

Mothers Day DIY Spa Basket Gift Idea | Cheerfully Given - Christian Gifts UK

Create your own DIY Spa Gift Basket with items from Cheerfully Given!

A frequent question we encounter is: “What are some Mother’s Day gifts she will use?” You can see our blog post where we answer that in more depth but it got us thinking about all the lovely luxurious items we have on Cheerfully Given.

Buying a trip to the spa might be out of your price bracket (or your mum may prefer to pamper herself in the comfort of her own home) so we wondered whether we could put together a spa pamper gift basket using Cheerfully Given products.

Alas, no one has started selling chocolate on here yet but we think we managed a pretty good set of items and we’ve included some extra, non-Cheerfully Given items at the end.

Be Still Christian Make Up Bag | Hanmade in Cornwall | Cheerfully Given - Christian Gifts UK

Be still embroidered makeup bag | Hanmade in Cornwall | £18.00

A spa basket needs something to store everything in and this embroidered linen bag is perfect for that. Hannah makes each makeup bag with machine embroidery, making it one-of-a-kind, and we love the inspiring words of Psalm 46:10 on it: “Be still and know that I am God”.

Being still in today’s society can be such a hard thing to do so read on for more ideas of how to nurture an atmosphere of ‘being still and knowing God’.

Precious Pocket Mirror | Ali Marriott | £3.50

Proverbs 31:10 inspired this cute little mirror. Just right for checking her makeup, it carries an important message: You Are Precious.

What a beautiful reminder! Mums can be so busy caring for others, its special to be able to remind them how precious to their Heavenly Father they are.

Precious Mama Enamel Mug | Frog and Gnome | £12.50

Tea. As C.S Lewis famously said: "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."

This 'Precious Mama' enamel mug provides a sweet (inspirational) message on the side to make that cup of tea just a bit more special.

Bergamot & Sweet Orange Soap | Suddy Nora | £5.00

Add some luxurious scent to the gift set with this 100% natural soap bar from Suddy Nora. Chemical and plastic free, made using traditional techniques, it is a lovely addition to this spa basket.

Who could resist the delicious aroma of oranges "resembling a walk through a Cornish Orangery belonging to a grand stately home with the extra uplifting scent of bergamot" (also good for many skin conditions)? (She does do other scents if orange isn't your mum's cup of tea)

Grace & Glory Freesia Candle | Soy Wax Candle by Whitehouse Collection | Cheerfully Given - Christian Gifts UK

Love Mini Journal Set | Christian Lettering Company | £10.50 - FREE UK DELIVERY

The second part of the 'be still' verse says 'And know that I am God'. Part of blessing your mother with this gift set could be to include a Bible journaling set to help her know God deeper.

This 'Love' mini journal set, by the Christian Lettering Company, contains all kinds of goodies to help delve into what the Bible says about love.

Grace & Glory Candle - 2 Peter 3:18 | Whitehouse Collection | £14.00

Can you even have a spa basket without a nice scented candle? This one from Whitehouse Collection features the 'the delightful freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias'.

Candles are a great way to wind down at the end of the day - perfect for adding into this 'be still' pamper package!

Non-Cheerfully Given Goodies

Here are some extra ideas you could include in the pamper gift set:

  • Fairtrade chocolate (Divine have some fantastic flavours and make sure farmers get a fair wage)
  • Lip balm and/or Bubble Bath (we love Nathalie Bond Organics. There's face masks, lip balms, bath salts - all kinds of relax-y nice gifts!)
  • Handmade biscuits or cake. If you're a baker, why not include your mum's favourite cookie or brownies?

What other things would you include in a spa basket (or enjoyed when one was gifted to you?)?
