From Rivers & Robots to Ed Sheeran, we asked the Cheerfully Given community what their musical favourites are at the minute
The Cheerfully Given sellers know what it’s like to work on your own at home, often having to perform monotonous tasks that take hours and hours. Ask any of us who’ve had to put thousands of cards and envelopes in cellophane sleeves, or who’ve had to put stickers on hundreds of products, and we'll tell you how stir-crazy we'd go without something to occupy our minds, whether it's podcasts, Netflix, or a Spotify playlist.
We're going to do a 'Community Favourites' post every so often with a round-up of seller recommendations, and we thought we'd get the party started with some of our favourite music. If you’re looking for something new to listen to while you’re sunbathing in the garden, then keep on reading!
We all have quite eclectic tastes, so we’ve shared a mix of our favourite Christian music and secular artists below.
If you want an easy way to listen to some of our favourite music, you can find our Studio Vibes Spotify playlist here, which rounds up some of our favourite praise and worship songs. Simply click 'Follow' and you'll be able to listen to it any time you like.
So let's see what our favourite summer playlist tunes are...
Jules Loveland of GingerTwentyTwo is particularly loving Reckless Love by Steffany Greztinger and No Longer a Slave by Jonathan David Helser. She's also a big fan of pretty much all 90's Grunge!
I'm enjoying lots of Bethel Music's work at the moment, particularly songs by Kristene Dimarco and Steffany Gretzinger.
Maggie and Courtney Suller, the dynamic mother-daughter team behind Christian Lettering Company, have always got great music recommendations! Maggie is currently enjoying lots of Third Day, while Courtney is obsessed with the soundtrack to Hamilton.
Elizabeth from Mug Shoppe's favourite bands at the moment are Shane & Shane and All Sons & Daughters.
Lauren Daigle and Ellie Holcomb are two of Zoe of Zoeprose's favourite artists.
I'm currently listening to Haim's new album 'Something To Tell You' and Loud Harp's 'Hope Where There Was None'. I've also kind of flipped back into 80's style rock, The Killers' album Battleborn, though a modern creation, is a great listen!
Make Today Beautiful's Becky is another All Sons & Daughters fan. She also loves The Great British Breakfast playlist on Spotify, and says it always puts her in a great mood.
Kat and Sarah-Jane are both Ed Sheeran fans. Kat from Arthouse Illustrations is also a fan of Peter Penrose, and her song of the moment is Sophia by Nerina Pallot. Sarah-Jane from Bird and Bloom is loving The Shires and Coldplay too!
My current musicals of choice include Hamilton, The Great Comet, Evan Hansen, and Pippin. I loved seeing Bellowhead live before they split up! For a song that always lifts my mood, I love I Feel the Earth Move by Carole King, and if I don't know what to listen to, I choose Ben Folds Five.
My favourite Christian artists include Rivers & Robots; Lou Fellingham; Stuart Townend; Third Day, and my favourite songs at the minute are Promise of the Ages by Stuart Townend and Lion and the Lamb by Bethel Music. In terms of secular music, I love a bit of Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson (especially the In Between Dreams album!) as they're perfect for chilling round the house on a lazy weekend, and no favourites list is complete without MJ!
